Course Overview
This course is targeted at Gas engineers, Plumbers with ACS gas qualifications (Domestic Only).
 
CCN1 is required for any operative wishing to work on domestic gas installations and appliances. In addition, the operative must also hold the relevant appliance element relating to the work they wish to undertake.
  • CPA1 is now included in the CCN1 assessment process
  • CENWAT1 - central heating boilers and water heaters

This course is for current gas engineers or new entrants who have recently completed an approved Managed Learning Programme (MLP).

Specific Entry Requirements:

  • ACS gas qualifications (Domestic Only)

  • Or completion of a relevant MLP

Recommended Experience:

  • Experience in domestic gas installation or servicing is highly recommended for assessment readiness

The course content is based on the level of the entrant’s current experience, a new entrant will complete 6 written exams, 3 Practical Assessment Workbooks and a suite of Practical Assessments.

A candidate who is renewing their Gas qualifications will complete one written exam one Practical Assessment Workbook and a suite of Practical Assessments

This qualification enables operatives to maintain or obtain Gas Safe registration and provides a foundation for further upskilling in specialist areas such as LPG, commercial gas, or renewable heating systems. Additional short plumbing and heating courses are also available to support ongoing professional development.
