Level 3 National Diploma in Business
This Business course is equivalent to 2 A Levels. Through this course you will learn about a range of business-related topics.
The field trips and residential study visits that you will take part in on this course, allowing you to gain a true insight into the world of Business plus the opportunity to set up your own small companies through Project Based Learning.
Students also have the opportunity to participate in work experience in countries such as Germany and Japan.The course consists of 8 units of which 6 are mandatory, 3 units are externally assessed and other units are internally assessed and externally moderated.

- Principles of Management
- Managing an Event
Option Units;
- Recruitment and Selection Process
- Wok Experience in Business
External Exam Units include:
- Personal & Business Finance
- Developing a Marketing Campaign
- Principles of Management
You will also work towards a Personal Development qualification and will be involved in a range of activities, designed to improve your employability.
You will be required to complete Essential Skills in Literacy or Numeracy if you do not have a GCSE grade C in English or Maths or Computing.
Class learning will be supplemented with the use of guest speakers and visits to organisations in the public and private sector. Students will also use Project Based Learning (PBL) as a learning tool so they can develop hands on business management skills.
Students will also be assisted to develop enterprise skills and set up companies through the PBL activities they will be engaged in as part of learning within the course.

Successful completion of this course could lead directly onto further study a HNC/D in Business.
You can also progress onto Apprenticeship programmes. the course can also lead directly into a career in Banking, Insurance, Civil Service, Retail or Accountancy.
