Course Overview

The course also covers essential pre-treatment preparation, post-treatment care, and the importance of maintaining client safety throughout the procedure. 
The qualification is delivered through a combination of guided learning, practical training, and clinical case studies, enabling learners to build confidence in real treatment settings. Assessment includes externally set theory and practical examinations, alongside a portfolio of clinical evidence

Applicants must be

  • Over 18 years old
  • Hold a Level 3 Diploma in Beauty Therapy 

Within this unit, learners will develop:

  • Advanced consultation techniques and client assessment
  • Skin analysis and health checks to determine treatment suitability
  • Knowledge of superficial skin peel products and ingredients
  • Development of individualised treatment plans
  • Safe preparation and application of skin peeling treatments
  • Understanding of contraindications and safety protocols
  • Delivery of pre- and post-treatment care advice
  • Completion of clinical case studies/portfolio evidence
  • Final Theory exam 50%
  • Final Practical Assessment 50%

Monday mornings 9am-12.30

16 weeks

Students will complete 6 case studies where tutor feedback will be provided. All students will complete a final theory exam and a final practical examination. 

On completion, learners are equipped to provide professional skin peeling treatments and progress into advanced roles within the aesthetics and skin therapy industry.
