How to Enrol if You’ve Received Your GCSE Results
Enrolment is the step you take to officially become a student after applying for a course. If you are moving on from GCSEs, a further education course, apprenticeship or traineeship is likely to be your next step in education.
If you have applied to join the College in September 2026, our team will contact you during summer 2026 with details of how to enrol on 20 or 21 August 2026.
If you haven't completed an application, visit the relevant course page on our website and select Apply.
Once you have applied, you will receive an email confirming that your application has been received and advising you of the next steps.

If you have applied to study at SERC this September, see the Steps to Enrol section below. Further Education Enrolment Days will take place on 20 and 21 August 2026 at your chosen campus.
Provided you have passed Year 1 of your programme, you will automatically progress to the second year without having to enrol again.
If you are progressing to a higher-level course, such as moving from Level 2 to Level 3, you must apply and enrol as a new student.
Steps to Enrol
Once you have applied to study with us in September, you will receive instructions explaining how to complete your enrolment. Enrolment for post-GCSE courses will take place on 20 and 21 August 2026 on campus. Once you receive your GCSE results, please come to the campus where you have applied to study.
Come and meet us at the campus where you have applied to study.
Enter your results into your SERC student account as soon as you receive them. If you experience any problems, we can help you when you arrive at SERC.
Bring your results slip or certificates, take a photo and upload them to your account.
Bring evidence of your identity, such as a driving licence, passport, birth certificate or Electoral Identity Card, and upload it to your account.

Travel passes are available from the Education Authority to eligible students who have not reached the age of 19 on or before 1 July 2026. Full eligibility details are available on the Education Authority Further Education Transport Applications page .
You must apply for free school meals each year through the Education Authority. Visit the Education Authority Free School Meals and Uniform Grants page for more information.
Apprentices must bring confirmation of their employer to campus on enrolment day and meet with the Training Organisation before enrolment.

If you did not receive the results you expected, come and speak to one of our impartial and experienced Careers Advisors.
If you are applying for a Level 2 course or traineeship and did not receive the required grades, speak to a tutor. You may be asked to complete a short assessment to help us determine your level of English or Maths and advise you on the most appropriate next step.
If your chosen course is full, speak to one of our tutors or Careers Advisors about suitable alternative options.
