Summer School

Our dedicated International Team work closely with partner institutions and international organisations to design bespoke Summer School and short-term study programmes, tailored to your group’s academic interests and objectives.

Each programme combines high-quality learning with cultural engagement and structured activities, ensuring a rewarding and memorable experience in Northern Ireland. We offer flexible programme durations, from short one-week visits and summer experiences to longer study options such as semester infill placements.

For groups wishing to strengthen their English language skills, SERC also offers dedicated English language provision, including General English and subject-specific academic English, designed to support successful study in the UK.

Programmes can include:

English language courses (General English or subject-specific English)
Tuition in your chosen vocational or academic curriculum area
Support in sourcing suitable accommodation, including homestay or self-catering options
Airport transfers (where required)
Cultural and social activities
Free time to explore Northern Ireland

Accommodation and logistical arrangements are agreed in advance with each partner institution, allowing us to build a programme that suits your group’s needs, duration and budget.

We work closely with partners to ensure high academic standards and appropriate student support throughout the programme.

Summer School students

SERC regularly hosts international groups for short-term study experiences. A recent Summer School welcomed a group of students from Brazil, who joined classes at SERC while also experiencing life and culture in Northern Ireland.
