Business Admin student lands job after successful Apprenticeship
18-year-old SERC student Allie Hamilton from Bangor, has thrived at Financial Property Solutions, a local business in Bangor, after securing a job having completed her business administration apprenticeship.
On the back of the successful apprenticeship through her course at the Newtownards Campus, Allie hopes to go on to specialise in an area within the business, having experienced first-hand how her course had prepared her for the world of work.
Allie said, “My time as an apprentice has been enjoyable and it was elating to be offered a full time position within the business on that back of that. I appreciate the support of my lecturer, Barbara Murphy.” She added, “My friend recommended the course to me at SERC after I finished school, citing the work placement within the course, and how enjoyable the experience was, which really attracted me.
The course equipped me with relevant knowledge and skills, which in turn helped me to land this job.” Allie plans to return to SERC to progress to the Level 3 Business Administration course, simultaneously working alongside her studies.
