SERC Head of Training Programmes and Apprenticeships Victoria Boyd comments, “Over the past six months, SERC have been engaging with the motor vehicle sector to develop a new HLA to address the growing needs of the industry at this skills level. The automotive sector in Northern Ireland is reporting significant urgent skills gaps, particularly for qualified technicians, driven by rapid technological advancements and it is critical that this new HLA will incorporate these key elements of learning and development for future apprentices.”
