OCN NI Level 2 Introduction to Hydrogen Boilers
     

The aim of this course is to raise awareness of the use of Hydrogen as a replacement to Fossil Fuels and the need to implement change into the mechanical engineering sector to reduce. 

Learners must be at least 18 years of age and have a construction qualification such as NVQ or a background/experience in construction.

OCN NI Level 2 Low Energy Buildings
     

The aim of this course is to raise awareness of the need to implement change into the construction sector to improve the housing stock. 

Learners must be at least 18 years of age and have a construction qualification such as NVQ or a background/experience in construction.

LCL Level 3 Electric Vehicle Charging Equip
     

The aim of this course is to raise awareness of the installation of dedicated conductive charging equipment for the charging of pure electric and plug-in hybrid electric road vehicles (PHEV) and includes the extended range of electric vehicles (E-REV).

Learners will need to have an understanding of electrical works and be a practicing electrician, electrical technician and engineer with experience of electrical installations, and associated inspection and testing and have general skills working with tools.

LCL Level 3 in the Installation and Maintenance of Small Scale Solar Photovoltaic Systems
     

The aim of this course is to learn the requirements to install, commission and handover small scale solar photovoltaic systems. This will include how to Inspect, service and maintain small scale solar photovoltaic systems. 

Learners must hold a Level 3 Electrotechnical NVQ qualification or similar

LCL Level 3 Installation & Maintenance of Solar Thermal Hot Water Systems
     

The aim of this course is to learn the requirements to install, commission and handover solar thermal hot water systems. This will include how to Inspect, service and maintain 'active' solar thermal hot water systems. 

Learners will need to be a qualified plumber or a Gas Safe Registered Gas Engineer or an OFTEC Registered Oil Technician. You must also hold the following qualifications: Water Regulations/Water Byelaws, Unvented Domestic Hot Water Storage Systems & Energy Efficiency for Domestic Heating.

OCN NI Level 5 HVO Bio Fuels
     

The aim of this course is to provide the learner with an understanding of the application of green technologies including installation practices and processes. 

Learners must be at least 18 years of age have a level 3 qualification or at least five years’ experience in the construction and related industries. Learners must also meet all regulatory and statutory licensing and standards where appropriate in order to perform practical activities governed by the regulations within the qualifications.

CMI Level 3 Award in Project Management
     

Candidates who complete the programme will gain an understanding of the nature and context of projects, along with the management of stakeholders and project team roles and responsibilities. 

The planning and control of projects will be covered allowing candidates to gain a solid understanding of all aspects of effective project management.

Start Date: 2 March 2023

Course Length: 6 weeks
