Local residents and staff seeking career progression in the Newry Mourne and Down District Council area are being given a FREE opportunity to boost their business skills and to gain a Chartered Management (CMI) qualification in either Level 5 Project Management or L5 Professional Coaching, a Level 2 Award in Reducing Carbon Footprints through Environmental Action or a City & Guilds Level 2 Award in Retrofit Qualification benefits.
Mourne and Down District Council is providing these FREE programmes in partnership and delivered by South Eastern Regional College.
These programmes are ideal for staff who are underemployed or employed and seeking career progression.

The Level 5 Project Management qualification is designed for practising middle managers and leaders who are typically accountable to a senior manager or business owners. It is aimed at leaders looking to effectively manage projects, although the qualification is also open to learners wishing to build on their general management skills.

They will have the professionalism to deliver impact, behave ethically and demonstrate a commitment to continual learning and development.

The OCN NI Level 2 Award and Certificate in Reducing Carbon Footprints through Environmental Action will provide the learner with an understanding of the impact of carbon dioxide emissions on climate change and how individuals, communities and organisations may contribute to reducing these.

City & Guilds Level 2 Award in Retrofit Qualification benefits
This qualification is suitable for those who desire to develop or improve their knowledge of retrofit in the construction industry. It is also for those without retrofit experience (electricians, joiners, plumbers, plasterers, bricklayers etc). Learners will be introduced to the scope offered within the construction industry for those working on retrofit.
This qualification has been developed in collaboration with industry specialists and established construction lecturers and assessors.
