Level 2 Award in International Trade, Customs and Logistics
The course explores and explains processes and procedures involved with importing and exporting goods. The course is suitable for those who are new to the industry or wishing to move into logistics.
This course is ideal for individuals new to logistics or those working in companies that import and export goods. Learners will gain an understanding of the rules and regulations governing international trade and benefit from a range of support materials, including webinars, podcasts, interactive links, and online discussions via the IOE Canvas Platform. The knowledge gained will be invaluable for career advancement in international trade, customs, and logistics.
The course is delivered online for 1.5 hours per week for 6 weeks.
Students will have access to online learning material via the IOE Canvas platform.
The following elements are covered: Export Documents, Getting Paid, Cargo and Credit Insurance, Trade Customs & Logistics Facilitators, Methods of International Transport and Customs Procedures and Documents.
No experience is required.
The Course is offered free of charge under Skill Up provided you meet the following criteria:
- over 18 years of age;
- eligible to work in Northern Ireland;
- ‘settled’ in Northern Ireland, and has been ordinarily resident in the UK for at least three years;
- or is a person who has indefinite leave to enter or remain in the UK
This course will cover subject matter relating to:
- Unit 1: Export Documents
- Unit 2: Getting Paid
- Unit 3: Cargo and Credit Insurance
- Unit 4: Trade Customs & Logistics Facilitators
- Unit 5: Methods of International Transport
- Unit 6: Customs Procedures and Documents
Learners who complete this qualification can progress to higher-level courses, including:
Level 3 Customs Practitioner Award
Level 3 Certificate in International Trade
These qualifications provide further expertise for those looking to specialize in customs and logistics management.
