Level 3 Diploma Hospitality with Events

The Level 3 Hospitality programme is designed to equip learners with the knowledge, practical skills, and professional understanding required for a successful career in the hospitality industry. Learners study a broad range of topics, including food and beverage operations, front-of-house management, housekeeping, events management, and customer service excellence.
The course combines hands-on practical training with theoretical study, enabling students to develop operational skills in real-world hospitality settings such as hotels, restaurants, conference centres, and catering operations. Learners also gain experience in teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving, preparing them for supervisory or management roles in hospitality. As part of their vocational learning, all participants will deliver an evening service in the SERC training restaurants, providing valuable real-world experience in a professional environment.
Industry work experience is a key feature of the programme, allowing learners to apply their skills, explore different hospitality sectors, and make informed career decisions. The course also develops essential transferable skills including communication, time management, and customer relations, enhancing employability in both local and international hospitality markets.
This course is equivalent to 2 A Levels. The course consists of 12 units.
- Vocational Qualification and Skills Development working in our Training Restaurant
- Work placement (Facilitated by the College, 3 weeks in year 2 of course)
- You will be required to complete Essential Skills in Literacy or Numeracy if you do not have a GCSE grade C in English or Maths.
You will need:
- 4 GCSEs grade C or above or BTEC Level 2 Diploma / OCN Level 2 Hospitality
- Applicants that have not obtained the above grades may be eligible to enrol as an Introductory Trainee
