On Wednesday 7 March, South Eastern Regional College’s Bangor, Downpatrick, Lisburn and Newtownards campuses will host their annual full-time open day from 2pm-8pm. The event is an important part of SERC’s calendar as it allows prospective students and their parents to learn more about what the College has to offer.

Visitors will get the opportunity to speak to expert lecturers, and funding and careers advisors will also be available for students who are undecided about what direction is right for them or unsure about what courses to consider

Ken Webb, Principal and Chief Executive at SERC, said “Open Day provides a great opportunity to welcome prospective students to the College and is a valuable opportunity for staff and students to meet and discuss the options. It is designed to give school-leavers looking to further their career prospects a valuable opportunity to see for themselves what they can achieve in their careers and the high-quality skills training SERC can provide to help them realise their ambitions.”

The event is designed to showcase the opportunities offered by the College and to open students’ minds to the huge variety of career possibilities their futures hold. As well as finding out about what courses are available, looking round the facilities and meeting lecturers, visitors will also be able to apply online

Applications for full-time courses are now open and students can apply online at apply.serc.ac.uk. Further information is available online at www.serc.ac.uk. Course listings are now available and can be collected from all main campus receptions.
