Calling All SERC Volunteers

If you are a member of staff or a student who currently participates in volunteering, fundraising, or any form of charity work, we would love to hear from you. As part of a national campaign across FE colleges in the UK, SERC will be sharing information on the range of volunteering and fund-raising initiatives our students and staff are involved in.
Roger Duncan (SERC Lisburn Campus Manager and Designated Safeguarding and Pastoral Care Officer) says,
“SERC plays an important role in our local community, and our staff and students volunteer extensively helping to foster community spirit. SERC is looking to encourage and develop this incredible community spirit. Helping others has been shown to improve a person’s general health and mental wellbeing, and SERC is keen to highlight our staff and students who get involved in volunteering within their community.”
Through the Good for Me: Good for FE organisation, which campaigns to highlight the importance of voluntary work, you may be able to attain a recognised qualification in volunteering, depending on the number of hours you volunteer each year.
You can tell us about your volunteering efforts by submitting them through this form. Please contact rduncan@serc.ac.uk if you have any queries.
