2017 CHRISTMAS TRADE FAIRS DATES ANNOUNCED

The 2017 Inter-Campus Christmas Trade Fairs will take place from 12pm and 2pm on the following dates:  

• Monday 11th December Downpatrick Campus reception
• Tuesday 12th December Bangor Campus reception
• Wednesday 13th December Lisburn Campus
• Thursday 14th December Newtownards campus reception

As part of the Colleges Enterprise and Entrepreneurship programme, Student Companies from across SERC will get the opportunity to showcase their entrepreneurial talents. Students from a range of disciplines will be selling their products and services. Products on show will include a range of hand-made Christmas crafts, paintings, up-cycled wood from the joinery department transformed into bespoke garden furniture and much more.  

SERC Enterprise Manager Kieran McKenna explains: “Encouraging students to consider entrepreneurial opportunities is an important part of what the College offers. The trade fairs are just one of many entrepreneurial initiatives run by the SERC Enterprise Programme and are a fantastic opportunity for students to sample what it is like to run their own business. Running a SERC Student Company gives students the opportunity to work as a team to generate ideas, explore business development, analyse the financial aspects of a business and learn about the marketing and promotion side of business. It also aims to increase their awareness of what makes a business successful."

Last year’s event was highly successful with many products selling out fast. This year we are hoping for even more exhibitors. Please continue to support student preparation for the events.
