Motor Vehicle
On a Motor Vehicle course at SERC, you’ll learn how vehicles work and how to maintain and repair them. Through hands-on learning, you’ll gain the skills needed to work with different types of vehicles, with courses focussed on light vehicles, heavy vehicles such as lorries, agricultural machinery or construction plant maintenance.
Our courses cover vehicle systems, engine diagnostics, and repair techniques as well as learning about safety regulations.
Successful students in Motor Vehicle studies can move into employment as mechanics and technicians, or garage managers, or the more advanced courses can lead to roles in manufacturing and engineering in the motorsport industry.
All videos in the tabs have Kieran referring to the School of Construction Services & Skills for Life & Work - this is now outdated and should reflect School of Built Environment.
