On International Women’s Day, Action Cancer Urges Women To Self- Refer for breast screening
To mark International Women’s Day on Monday 8 March 2021, Action Cancer, the only provider of free breast screening to women aged 40-49 and 70+ in Northern Ireland (outside of NHS screening age range), has announced that new appointments are now available. Breast cancer is the second most common type of cancer among women in Northern Ireland. Women tend to put their own health and wellbeing to the bottom of their list of priorities.

There will be a Female only Cancer information session on the signs and symptoms for the most common cancers, how to self-check/self examine, screening programmes and how to reduce risk. The session will be delivered via MS Teams on Thursday 11th March 2021 at 12.30 pm to 1.15 pm.
Also, this week there are health promotion sessions open to all staff which are being delivered by Action Cancer Wellbeing Health Promotion Sessions (sharepoint.com), so take time this week to avail of a session
