SERC Student Helps Mark 25 Years of BT Young Scientist Exhibition

A SERC Science student and lecturer have attended a prestigious event in the Long Gallery at Stormont to mark 25 year of BT Ireland’s role as custodians, organisers and sponsors of the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition.

Cassie Caldwell (20) from Cloughy, near Portaferry, completed an Advanced Tech - Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Applied Science before progressing to the Pearson BTEC HNC in Applied Sciences, both at Bangor Campus.

It was Cassie’s interest in antibacterial substances that secured her place at BTYSTE in January 2024.

Cassie attended the event with SERC Science lecturer Susan Gillen.
