The Fire and Security Careers Day will take place on Tuesday 3 February 2026, 2pm-7pm at SERC's Newtownards Campus.

The afternoon will highlight opportunities for qualifications and careers in the fire and security industry. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for young people and school leavers to find out about the qualifications and employment opportunities in an exciting growth industry.  It encompasses fundamentals of electronics, IT and electrical skills, and offers diverse roles, including field technician, estimating or contract manage

Chat to manufacturers and employers in the industry as well as meet past SERC apprentices, including the first World Skills gold medal winner in this discipline.

You will also have the opportunity to chat to our expert tutors and hear more about the Level 3 Apprenticeship in Fire and Security, which we offer at Lisburn and Newtownards campuses.
