There is a treat in store for music fans with current and past students from South Eastern Regional College (SERC) joining forces to deliver a unique Acoustic Writers Round at SERC’s Space Theatre, Castle Park Road, Bangor on Friday 6 March from 6 – 9pm.
Chris Barry, Gilah Greig, Taylor Lally and Luke O’Doherty. are the four incredible singer songwriter acts in the original music line-up which is guaranteed to get your weekend off on the perfect note.
Chris Barry, (21) from Comber, first came to SERC to do a Level 2 First Diploma in Music, then progressed to the Level 3 National Foundation Diploma in Music and is now completing a HND in Music Performance. The talented young man plays piano, acoustic guitar and harmonica as well as writing his own material. He said, “I am looking forward to the Acoustic Writers Round at SPACE. It is a great opportunity to get on stage and play in front of an audience. It is both exciting and a privilege to share my songs and music alongside the other performers.” Chris has recently been gigging at Donegan’s in Bangor.
Also performing is Luke O'Doherty (23) from Bangor. Luke also completed the Level 3 in Music and the HND in Music Performance. He has recently been performing at the Hop House Jam on a Thursday night in Bangor, which is hosted by Taylor Lally.
Luke said, “We are all looking forward to the gig. If you like music and are up for hearing something original, then please come along for what promises to be an enjoyable and entertaining evening.”
Doors open at 6:00pm, with performances from 6:30pm to 9:00pm. Tickets cost £3 and are available from Ticket Source.
