Josh, (20) from Newcastle, is studying the Level 3 Apprenticeship NI in Electrical Installation course at SERC’s Downpatrick Campus and will be competing in the electrical category of the regional finals. He is employed by Irwins M&E. He says: “Thanks to my course I feel well prepared for the work ahead, my tutors have supported me well and now I’m looking forward to the challenge and competing against the other colleges.”
Echoing Josh’s remarks, Alfie, (20) from Magheralin, who is studying the Level 3 Apprenticeship NI in Plumbing course at SERC’s Lisburn Campus, says “I’m looking forward to the competition; it will be a good day out and I’m sure all the SERC competitors will perform well.” Alfie will be competing in the plumbing category of the regional finals and is employed by JF Mechanical.
Also competing in the plumbing category of the regional finals is Matthew, (17) from Magheralin, who is studying the Level 2 Traineeship in Plumbing course at SERC’s Lisburn Campus. He is employed by Lindsay Mechanical LTD. On the upcoming competition, he says, “I’m excited to compete in the regional finals and eager to test my skills.”
The regional finals will take place on 19 May.
