Hospitality and Culinary Arts Students at Downpatrick Campus

Meal Experience Students ready to enjoy end of year meal experience

Students from Hospitality and Culinary Arts programmes at SERC Downpatrick Campus celebrated end of term with a delicious lunch at local restaurant The Barn Country Kitchen in Saul, just outside Downpatrick.

The students from the FDQ Level 2 Professional Chef, Hospitality Food and Beverage, and Foundation Degree in Culinary Arts Students were joined by Hospitality Lecturer, Sinead Scott and Lecturer Chef, Thomas Turley, who said, “It is hard to believe another great year of teaching and learning has come to an end.   The past year was incredibly busy for everyone in hospitality and culinary arts - since September we have been involved in  competitions, student work placements, culinary trips, meal experiences and the fantastic Excellence Awards."

He added, “We are all ready for summer break, but it has been great to end the year with a final meal experience, and the opportunity to look back and recognise how far everyone has progressed.”

Apply now for courses commencing September 2025.
