Cancer Focus NI is a charity that provides cancer support services to thousands of people every year. They also help deliver a range of cancer prevention initiatives, as well as support research into the causes, treatment and prevention of cancer.
On 15, 17 and 18 December 2025, staff briefings in SERC Bangor, Downpatrick and Lisburn campuses took place in which staff could wear a Christmas jumper and donate to Cancer Focus NI. SERC staff raised an impressive £306 for the charity.
The fundraising was organised by SERC Deputy Chief Executive Colin McGuckin. “A sincere thank you to everyone who took part in our Christmas Jumper Day fundraiser for Cancer Focus NI during the staff briefings”, Colin said, “your support and generosity helped raise valuable funds for a very important cause.”
