The Awards, now in their sixth year, recognise the innovation and impact of practices that can help build a more sustainable and better future across all sectors.
SERC has been shortlisted for the Education Award, which celebrates organisations that are committed to raising sustainability awareness and practice through education, training, or a campaign. The college was shortlisted for this award through several initiatives including the establishment of a new retrofit training suite, the introduction of Northern Ireland’s first green technology training qualifications, the training of community champions to promote sustainability, and the integration of green principles into curriculum development.
Together, these initiatives highlight SERC’s commitment to sustainability, while empowering individuals and communities to play an active role in working towards a more sustainable society.
Winners will be announced at a gala dinner at London Marriott Hotel on 8 October 2026.
