Level 2 Traineeship in Health and Social Care students pooled their skills to host an Easter themed party at SERC’s Newtownards Campus for residents from Oakmont Lodge, Bangor.
Jenni Rice, Lecturer in Health and Social Care said, “This was a fantastic opportunity for our students to collaborate on community engagement through project-based learning.
“The health and social care students have developed an effective partnership with the team at Oakmont Lodge and this get together follows a successful Christmas party last year. All the students had to work together to plan suitable activities and refreshments for our guests.
“The session included an easter craft, music and a few rounds of bingo followed by tea and coffee and freshly baked shortbread which was produced by the professional chef students.”
Jenni concluded, “We are so proud of all the students taking the time to plan the session and engage with the residents when they visited Newtownards Campus.”
