The McClean Family

The McClean family from Bangor have been entertaining audiences at home and abroad for more than three decades with their unique brand of traditional folk, as fresh today as it was some 30 years ago. The family have played a key part in driving the town’s traditional music scene, performing professionally, teaching, and winning awards – Niall is a former All Ireland fiddle champion.

In this special Open House event, the McCleans will play their first ever home- town concert. With patriarch and matriarch, Donard and Christine, at the helm, around fiffteen members of the family will join them on stage for what should be an historic and emotional night.

They’ll also be using the occasion to launch their much anticipated second album, Short Road to Burren.
