Stuart Murray, actor, musician and lecturer on the Level 3 Performing Arts courses in Bangor and Lisburn and the Production Arts course in Bangor shares Good Practice in using Slido.
Slido is a free piece of online software that I sometimes use in my class to encourage engagement and get feedback from my students. Primarily it allows you to create quizzes and polls that are easily accessed by your students using their phones or computers and doesn't require them to download any apps or register any accounts.
Slido is similar to websites such as Kahoot, although it maybe doesn't have the same "fun" design as Kahoot, I find that the free version of Slido offers more functionality and options for interacting with your students. Another great thing with Slido is that they've recently released an update which allows you to imbed your polls and questions into a PowerPoint presentation which makes presenting them much slicker and easier.
You can access Slido at www.sli.do
