Strangford MP visits SERC Newtownards Campus

SERC Newtownards Campus students and staff were glad to host a visit recently by Strangford MP and DUP Health spokesperson Jim Shannon. 

He was welcomed to the college by Newtownards Campus Manager, Barbara McNeill.

The MP toured the campus and visited a variety of vocational practical classes. He spoke with tutors and learners, and heard about their programmes, aspirations and jobs. Jim met Level 2 Health and Social Care trainees, apprentices in Plumbing, Joinery, and Brickwork, and students on the part-time Level 5 Leadership and Management in Health Care course who are currently employed as team leaders, deputy managers and acting managers across the Health Service.
