A class of SERC Foundation Degree in Early Childhood studies students recently hosted a visitor from Tinylife on Lisburn Campus.

Tinylife, Northern Ireland’s premature and vulnerable baby charity, provides a range of support services for families of premature babies locally, and supports research that ensures every pregnancy has the best chance of a healthy outcome and healthy baby.

A School Liaison Officer from Tinylife, Catherine Black, visited SERC Lisburn campus to discuss her education pathway and work experience to date, giving the students an idea of where their own studies can lead them. Catherine also talked to the students about pre-term babies and the impact that this can have on a baby's development, which helped support the student’s learning alongside their current module on working with babies.
