As part of their studies, Part-time Level 2 Beauty Therapy students from the Lisburn Campus have been helping to raise money for Carer's N.I

Caring can present all kinds of challenges, from filling in forms to coping with emotions. Every day Carers UK hears from people who need help with looking after a friend or family member. For over 50 years, Carers UK has been at the forefront of the carers’ movement bringing carers together to have a voice and deliver lasting change.

Students were extremely busy during the event by provided mini beauty treatments including facials, file and polishes for attendees as well as organising a raffle and refreshments.

For their efforts students raised a total of £300.93 for Carer's N.I.

Lynn Speirs, Technician in Hair & Beauty for the School of Performing and Creative Arts said that “I believe it is very important for students to engage with their local community and raising funds for charity is a great way to do just that. The students have done extremely well and have developed their team working skills. I’m happy that the students chose to raise money for Carer's N.I, a truly worthwhile cause.”
