BTEC Awards 2018 - Nominations are Now Open

The first stage of nominations closes at midnight, 23 February 2018, so make sure you get yours in before it’s too late! 

The BTEC Awards is an annual opportunity to recognise and reward the students, teachers, schools and colleges for their exceptional achievements in vocational learning.  

You can nominate for the Sector Awards and Overall Awards

 

Sector Awards:

  1. Business and Enterprise Student of the Year
  2. Child and Social Care Student of the Year
  3. Construction Student of the Year
  4. Art and Design Student of the Year
  5. Engineering Student of the Year
  6. Hospitality and Travel and Tourism Student of the Year
  7. IT and Computing Student of the Year
  8. Land-based Student of the Year
  9. Creative Media Student of the Year
  10. Music Student of the Year
  11. Performing Arts Student of the Year
  12. Public Services Student of the Year
  13. Science Student of the Year
  14. Sport Student of the Year
  15. Option to nominate an exceptional Higher National student, adult learner, Apprentice, Tutor, School or college with the overall awards.

Overall awards:

  1. Adult learner of the Year
  2. Apprentice of the Year (16-18)
  3. Apprentice of the Year (19+)
  4. Apprenticeship Provider of the Year
  5. College of the Year Higher
  6. National Student of the Year
  7. International Student of the Year
  8. Tutor of the Year
  9. School or Multi-academy Trust of the Year
  10. Overall BTEC Student of the Year 2017

Sector Awards eligibility criteria

  • Nominees must be at least 14 years of age and no more than 24 years of age on the day they formally registered for their BTEC
  • Students must be nominated by a teacher/tutor or head of department or trainer associated with delivering their BTEC qualification
  • Students may not nominate themselves
  • Parents may not nominate students
  • Students must be studying or have completed either a BTEC First, a BTEC National, a BTEC Higher National, a BTEC Apprenticeship or a BTEC Specialist Qualification
  • Student nominees must have received or be due to receive their BTEC grades between 1st June 2017 – 30th June 2018

All nominations must be made with the full knowledge, consent and co-operation of the nominee
