Over fifty SERC Job Club students participated in a dodgeball tournament to celebrate the end of the academic year. Job Club staff in Downpatrick organised the inter-campus event which was hosted in the Downpatrick Campus sports hall.
The day began with a quiz organised by Laura Flynn from the Newtownards Campus, as a prerequisite to the dodgeball tournament, while Carole Darling and Kay Speedy took charge of the dodgeball set up where four teams competed in a fun-filled afternoon.
Carole Darling said, "This event was a fantastic opportunity for the Job Club students to enjoy themselves, socialise together and engage in a teamwork orientated environment." She added, "It is incredible to see the enthusiasm and the enjoyment from the students, even having intertwined together as an inter-campus event."
The students had a great day and each of them received a certificate after the dodgeball tournament. SERC provides a range of full and part-time courses designed to give students' the edge'.
