SERC's Newtownards Campus welcomed YESSS Electrical to deliver a tool box talk to Electrical Installation apprentices.

YESSS Electrical are an electrical wholesaler with over 250 branches across the province and Channel Islands offering everything from switches to sockets.  All Branches have their own dedicated team and delivery fleets with in-house experienced local drivers.

Sam Bailey, Sales Manager for YESSS Electrical and Wiha Tools ran a free ballot presenting Wiha tools as prizes for the students.

SERC student Andrew Tucker who achieved third place during the regional SkillBuild competition earlier in the year was presented with a Wiha Service Technicians Toolkit for his achievement.

YESS Electrical will be continuing to work with SERC to deliver tool box talks on different equipment and products on a regular basic.   They have also committed to providing student discounts to the apprentices.

SERC Deputy Head of School for Construction, Engineering Services and Skills for Work Stuart Rankin said “This is a great opportunity for our electrical installation students to learn about the latest products and tools on the market relevant to their trade.   We would like to thank Sam from YESSS Electrical and his contact from Wiha Tools, for providing an excellent prize and for helping us celebrate and recognise Andrew Tuckers recent success at SkillBuild.   We look forward to working closely together in the future."

He continued “We pride ourselves on developing work ready apprentices and having a good understanding of the latest equipment is critical for the apprentices to maintain a competitive edge in their industry. I really want to thank Sam for his generous donation of prizes and forging this relationship with the students.”
