Eight (8) Level 3 students, who had won heats on their home campuses, were tasked with building a breadboard circuit. Judges were SERC tutors Alison Black and Tom Finnegan, who assessed the contestants on key skills: layout, neatness, colour-coding and organisation.
Each competitor was given a branded SERC Electronics hoodie and the four students with the highest scores won Amazon vouchers.
First place winner was Tyler Hunter (18), from Maghaberry, studying at SERC Lisburn Campus with Sophia Flannigan (17), from Newtownards and Connie Watson (26), from Bangor - both studying at Bangor Campus, taking second and third place respectively.
Runner up was Vincent McCullough (17), from Lisburn and is studying at SERC Lisburn Campus.
