We were delighted with the turnout of organisations, staff and students to the Community Support Organisation events which were hosted in Bangor and Lisburn recently (rescheduled due to a storm in early February).
Hundreds of students took the opportunity to come along and find out about employment, volunteering and opportunities to make connection for further support, from a host of organisations in the local community. Shirley Moore, Career Manager said, “Whist the Community Support Organisation event was designed for students who may not be continuing their studies at the college, it offered an opportunity for all students - and parents and carers - to engage with community and disability support organisations to explore training, education, volunteering and employability support available when a student completes their studies with SERC.”
