The Awards, in partnership with Grant Thornton, celebrate organisations actively striving to address and progress ESG issues, showcase the successes of ESG initiatives, examples of best practice and the importance of transparency in this area.

SERC has been shortlisted for the Net Zero Carbon Award, which recognises organisations that have set and are actively pursuing realistic and impactful targets to achieve net zero carbon emissions. The college was shortlisted for the award through several initiatives including the establishment of a new retrofit training suite, the introduction of Northern Ireland’s first green technology training qualifications, the training of community champions to promote sustainability, and the integration of green principles into curriculum development across all courses.

Together, these initiatives highlight SERC’s commitment to sustainability while empowering individuals and communities to play an active role in achieving net zero goals.

The award winners will be announced on 16 April 2026 at a ceremony in the Mansion House, Dublin.
