The Learning Academy are running workshops on Emotional Intelligence and Managing Stress in Lisburn this week (other sites are as below in the following weeks).

Stress Management

It may seem that there is nothing you can do about stress, but you have more control than you think. If you are living with high levels of stress, you are putting your entire well-being at risk. Effective stress management helps you break the hold stress has on your life, so you can be happier, healthier and more productive. It is important to experiment and find out which stress management technique will work for you. This session will look at identifying sources of stress in your life and how you can accept responsibility for the role you play in maintaining your stress levels. 

Emotional Intelligence

According to the World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs Report, emotional intelligence will be one of the top 10 job skills in 2020. This session will look at how your emotional intelligence impacts your ability to handle pressure, understand and collaborate with others, listen effectively, give and receive feedback constructively and think critically: 

• How to organise and prioritise to get more done

• Ways to get out of crisis mode and focus on what's important

• Managing the work environment

• Dealing with interruptions
