Students at SERC are celebrating having their poems selected for print following success in a national writing competition.
Aimee Clarke (Maghaberry), Georgina Pickford (Bangor), Faith Flynn (Maghaberry) and Luke Chapman (Ballywalter), who are all completing A-Level English Literature at SERC Bangor Campus, each wrote poems on the theme of Escape. Their works were selected for publication in the Young Writers Poetry Escape book.
Marie McAlinden, Curriculum Manager for A-Levels, Retail, Training & Development said, “To see your work in print is a wonderful boost for any budding poet or writer. We are delighted that the poems by each of the students were selected for publication, and hope this will encourage them to continue writing.”
