Would you like to become a qualified first aider for the college?

We are looking for staff to train as first aiders to provide first-aid assistance to all visitors, staff, and students in the Ards, Bangor, Downpatrick and Lisburn campuses.

To become a qualified first aider, you will be required to attend three full days’ training, and the certificate will be valid for three years. Places are available for training taking place on the 9th, 10th, and 11th of September 2025 in Downpatrick campus. If you’re not selected to attend training on these dates you will be invited to the next scheduled training.

Following training, you will be placed on the First Aid rota to cover either one morning or afternoon session per week on campus. Academic staff will not be on the rota during regular timetable teaching hours as attending an incident would leave students unsupervised.

Please note: This opportunity is only open to staff on permanent contracts.

There will be a paid allowance of £30.58 per month.

If you wish to apply, please complete this form by 12 noon on Friday 15th August 2025.
