Every year on 19 November, International Men’s Day offers a powerful opportunity to reflect on the contributions, challenges, and wellbeing of men and boys across the globe.
In Ireland and the UK, men are statistically more likely to die by suicide, less likely to seek help for mental health issues, and more likely to work in high-risk jobs. International Men’s Day is a chance to break the silence and build a culture of openness, empathy, and support.
The Men’s Health Forum in NI have created a Men’s Health Manual, which provides support and advice to support men’s health.
Lena by Inspire are hosting an online session on the changes that men might face in later years, aiming to break the silence around the male hormonal transition often overlooked in health conversations. This session will take place on 19 November 2025 at 10am to 11am online. Click here to find out more.
Movember is an annual event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of men’s health issues, such as prostate and testicular cancer, and men’s suicide. Consider contributing this Movember to help raise awareness about these important issues for men.
