Paul McCullagh

SERC Sport are deeply saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Level 3 Sport, Fitness & Personal Training student Paul McCullagh after a short illness. 

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the McCullagh family and to all of Paul’s friends and classmates at this incredibly difficult time.  

Paul joined the college in September 2025, although his time with us was brief he made a lasting impression on both the staff and his peers. Paul was a bright, vibrant, force of a man who was keen to learn and full of fun. He was a giant in more than just his strong frame; he was also a natural leader, with a magnetism and presence that genuinely lit up the classroom. 

Paul leaves a legacy in everyone he met, especially those in the boxing world, which he spoke so passionately about during a recent assessment. A true gentleman who represented the college with pride. 

He will be greatly missed by the entire SERC Sport community.
