Join us in Downpatrick for a BBQ on Tuesday 22 May

Hospitality and Catering students from Downpatrick are preparing to host a BBQ to raise money for PIPS Downpatrick.

PIPS provide support to individuals who are considering, or who have at some point considered, ending their own lives. PIPS can also provide support for families who have been touched by suicide. PIPS endeavors to make the understanding of signs of suicide, the promotion of self-help and the need for immediate, appropriate services at the point of crisis everyone’s business.

Travel and Tourism students will also be helping to raise money with a Wet Sponge Throwing stall.  Get your lecturer to sign up for the chance to throw a sponge for a good cause.

All staff and students are invited to come along from 12 to 2pm and get involved in the activities.

The event has been kindly sponsored by local businesses, Munchies of Mourne, The Hatch Castlewellan, Henderson Food services, Finnebrogue and McGreevy's butcher Downpatrick.  

 

So, come along, have some great tasting BBQ and help raise money for worthwhile cause.
