The Journey

Following its triumphant showings at the Venice and Toronto International Film Festivals, Colin Bateman’s screenplay, The Journey, gets a special festive screening in his hometown of Bangor.

Directed by Nick Hamm, the acclaimed movie tells the tale of the historic first meeting between Ian Paisley and Martin McGuinness. Filmed at local locations, including the Culloden Hotel and the Ards Peninsula, this controversial production stars Timothy Spall, Colm Meaney and the late John Hurt, and has already become a hot topic of conversation.

Our screening will be introduced by Colin Bateman, with an audience Q&A at the end of the film.
