SERC Host Department for the Economy Energy Group

SERC was delighted to host members of the Department for the Economy’s (DfE) Energy Group at the College’s Professional Skills Centre at Dundrod, Nutts Corner. 

SERC’s Business Services team, led by Lead Business Manager, Stephen McGreevy, showcased to DfE’s Energy Group staff - responsible for providing the strategic vision for the future of energy in Northern Ireland - the latest Green Technology, with the opportunity to ‘have a go’ at electrofusion welding. 

The Energy Group got hands on demonstrations with heat pumps systems; HVO (Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil) systems; hydrogen systems; and new and emerging pipe work techniques.
